This year’s Donegal Town Summer Festival promises to be one of the best to date. Running over a four day period, the people of the town will be entertained and indulged by some of Ireland’s top bands and home grown talent. The festivities commence on Thursday evening July 2nd with the official opening, we’ll not let too much away at this time but it’s not to be missed!
 
On Friday July 3rd, the town will be treated to the fantastic tunes of Big Generator. They are one of the country’s best known bands, playing to huge crowds at every gig and are sure to amaze everyone who comes out to see them.
 Saturday July 4th is set to be the most fun-filled day of the summer for all the kids in Donegal Town. We will have a gladiator ring, face painting, live circus acts, fancy dress disco, bouncy castles, large slide and much more on the Diamond for everyone to enjoy. Later on in the evening, The Coronas will take to the main stage. They are one of Ireland’s most popular bands and promise to take our breath away in an incredible open-air gig!
 
However, the unbelievable entertainment does not stop there! On Sunday July 4th, the extraordinary J90 are paying us another visit. Already proven much to be loved by the people of Donegal Town, they will not let us down this time either when they play a spectacular set on The Diamond. And as if that wasn’t enough, the people of Donegal Town will also be treated to the exceptional music of the one and only Mundy! Renowned and admired by the whole country, he guarantees to amaze and outstand us with his brilliant and much loved songs.
 
At this stage, you must be saying to yourself ‘surely there can’t be anymore’…Well there is! Alongside all the dazzling musical acts, the festival will be jammed packed with numerous fun-filled activities for all ages. We will have the annual duck race, Eske windscreen go-kart grand prix, a seafood competition and the “It’s a Barman’s Knockout” competition. All of these and many more are not to be missed!
 
This year’s Summer Festival aims to create a fun and safe carnival atmosphere for all the family. We hope to see everyone from the town come down to The Diamond to enjoy the fantastic events and activities.
